Seoul National University Scholarship 2024 (Fully Funded)

The Seoul National University (SNU) online applications for Fall 2024 are now open. Start submitting your applications for the Seoul National University Scholarship 2024. Seoul National University offers Undergraduate, Graduate, and full-time MBA degree programs. The university consistently ranks high in global university rankings. SNU University has many fully funded scholarships including the KGSP (GKS) Scholarship program.

One of the drawbacks of the SNU is that their application timeline is very short. You can only apply during the application period. Almost all academic fields and majors are available. Undergraduate Scholarships (Before Admission)

Students may apply for the programs before or during the admission application period.

  • Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) (Now GKS) – But for Undergrads GKS opens in September.
    • Full tuition fee: tuition exemption for 8 semesters
    • Living expenses: 900,000 KRW per month
    • Airfare: one economy round trip
    • Korean language training fee: one year
  • Overseas Koreans Scholarship (Opens in February or March)
    • Full tuition exemption for a maximum of 8 semesters (Only when conditions are met)
    • Living expenses: 900,000 KRW per month for 8 semesters (maximum)
    • Airfare for one economy round trip
    • Korean language training fee: fee exemption at the Language Education Institute for 6 months
    • Medical insurance subscription (private company)

Graduate Scholarships (Before Admission)

Students may apply for the programs before or during the admission application period.

  • SNU President Fellowship Program (SPF)
    • Tuition fee: full tuition exemption for a maximum of 6 semesters
    • Living expenses: 1, 500,000 KRW ~ 2,000,000 KRW per month for 3~4 years
    • A round-trip airfare (economy class based on the GTS system)
    • Korean language training (only evening class during regular semesters)
    • National Health Insurance fee reimbursement
  • Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS)
    • Tuition fee: full tuition exemption for a maximum of 4 semesters
    • Living expenses: minimum of 500,000 KRW per month (different according to recipients’ majors)
  • Overseas Koreans Scholarship
    • Full tuition exemption for a maximum of 4 semesters (when conditions are met)
    • Living expenses: 900,000 KRW per month 4 semesters (maximum)
    • Airfare for one economy round trip
    • Korean language training fee: fee exemption at the Language Education Institute for 6 months
    • Medical insurance subscription (private company)
  • Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP/GKS) – This is open for Graduate Programs. Please read GKS Korean Government Scholarship 2024.
    • Full tuition fee: tuition exemption for 4 semesters for Master’s program and 6 semesters for Ph. D program
    • Living expenses: 1,000,000 KRW per month
    • Airfare: one economy round trip
    • Korean language training fee: for one year
    • * Korean language training is mandatory and when the student does not achieve TOPIK grade 3 within a year, she/he is not eligible to enter the degree program
    • Others: medical insurance, research fund, thesis printing fees, settlement, and return expenses.
